What Mivan Grease Needs to Do (That Regular Grease Can't)
Mivan hardware sits between aluminium surfaces for 3-7 days while concrete cures. Exposed to:
Concrete slurry: Alkaline cement paste attacks lithium grease. Water: Curing water, monsoon rain. Static load + vibration: Concrete pouring vibrates — grease must not migrate. Temperature: Mumbai sun heats panels to 60°C+.
Mivan grease uses calcium/calcium-lithium base that resists alkaline attack, stays water-resistant, and won't melt or migrate.

What NOT to Use on Mivan Hardware
AP3/MP3 lithium grease: Breaks down in alkaline concrete. Leaves yellow stains on panel edges.
Diesel / waste oil: Strips anodized layer, attracts abrasive dust.
Silicone grease: Paint and putty won't adhere to concrete where silicone migrated.
Petroleum jelly: Melts at 60°C. Liquefies on sun-facing panels in Mumbai summer.
Consumption: 1 kg covers ~100-150 pins + wedges. 2BHK floor cycle: 2-3 kg. Monthly (4 cycles): 8-12 kg. One 18kg pail ≈ 6-8 floor cycles.
