What’s the difference between mivan oil and regular shuttering oil?
Regular shuttering oil is for plywood — contains solvents that corrode aluminium and stain concrete. Mivan oil uses neutral mineral base with polar additives for aluminium release without damage.
How much mivan oil per floor?
Standard 2BHK floor cycle: 15–25 litres (walls + slab). Depends on panel area and application method. Thin coats give better results.
Can I use mivan oil on plywood shuttering?
Yes, but it’s more expensive than needed. Use standard form release oil for plywood. Reserve mivan oil for aluminium panels.
Will your oil leave marks through paint?
No. Formulation prevents migration into concrete. Surfaces ready for direct putty and paint — eliminates concrete cleaning step, saving 2–3 days per floor.
How should I store mivan oil on site?
Shade, sealed containers. Avoid dust and water contamination. Shelf life: 24 months sealed, 6 months opened.
