Why Regular Shuttering Oil Destroys Mivan Panels
Regular plywood shuttering oil contains solvents that react with aluminium — causing surface pitting, dark oxidation stains, and sticky residue that gets harder to clean every cycle. After 20-30 uses with wrong oil, panels need grinding or replacement.
Mivan panels cost ₹1,800-2,500 per sq metre. Replacing even 10% of damaged panels costs more than a year's supply of proper shuttering oil.
Diesel is worse. Strips anodized layer, leaves stains that bleed through paint, and creates fire hazard on multi-storey sites.
What Mivan Oil Needs to Do
1. Clean release: Concrete separates without chipping or sticking. Pour surface smooth enough to skip plastering.
2. No staining: Oil doesn't migrate into concrete. Walls ready for direct finishing.
3. Panel protection: Thin film prevents aluminium oxidation between cycles. Panels last 200+ uses instead of 80-100.
4. Low consumption: Spreads thin and even. Bad oil puddles and drips.
