What MP3 Grease Is (and Isn't)
MP3 is lithium soap multipurpose grease at NLGI Grade 3. Works across -20°C to 130°C. Without the extreme pressure (EP) additives found in AP3.
Use MP3 for: wheel bearings, chassis, hinges, generators, motors, pumps, conveyors — moderate load, no heavy shock.
Don't use for: excavator bucket pins, crane slewing bearings, piling rig linkage — those need AP3 with EP additives.
Simple rule: if the bearing shakes when the machine works, use AP3. If it spins smoothly under steady load, MP3.

Q: Can I use MP3 in truck wheel bearings?
Yes. Standard recommendation for Tata 2518, Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz. Repack every 5,000 km or monthly service.
Q: How much does a transport fleet consume monthly?
8-10 tippers: approximately 18-25 kg per month. One 18kg pail lasts 3-4 weeks.
Q: Is MP3 water resistant?
Moderately. Lithium base handles splashing and occasional wetting. For constant water exposure (monsoon, pumps), calcium grease is better.
Q: Can I mix MP3 with existing grease?
If both lithium-based NLGI 3, yes. Don't mix lithium with calcium — they soften and lose load-carrying ability.
