What mixing ratio for soluble cutting oil?
5–8% oil in water. Use refractometer. Always add oil to water — reverse causes foaming.
How long does cutting oil last in CNC sump?
4–8 weeks with maintenance (weekly pH + concentration checks). 2–3 weeks without. Bacteria is the main killer.
For stainless steel machining?
Use neat cutting oil. Soluble doesn’t lubricate enough — stainless work-hardens, causing tool breakage.
Cutting oil turning dark and smelly?
Bacterial contamination. Drain completely, clean with biocide, rinse, refill fresh. Don’t just top up.
Is it safe for operators?
Our formulation has no chlorinated paraffins or nitrosamines. Standard PPE: gloves for concentrate, safety glasses during machining.
