Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use regular oil on tower crane chain?
Not recommended. Flings off at operating speed. Chain oil has tackifiers that keep it on the chain.
How often oil tower crane hoist chain?
Weekly for outdoor cranes. Daily during dusty conditions or monsoon. Apply to pin-bushing side during warm-up.
Chain oil vs chain grease?
Oil penetrates into pin-bushing clearances where wear happens. Grease is too thick — sits outside collecting dust. Oil is correct for roller chains.
My chain is noisy. Lubrication problem?
Often yes. Properly lubricated chain runs quieter. If noise persists after oiling, check sprockets, chain stretch, or misalignment.
Available in spray cans?
We supply bulk (5L–210L). For spray use, pour into pump sprayer. Aerosol cans cost 10–20x per litre.
