Is black oil safe for machinery?
For correct applications (low-speed gearboxes, wire ropes, chains), yes. Not for hydraulics, engines, or precision bearings.
What is the difference between black oil and waste oil?
Waste oil is drained from equipment without processing — full of metal, fuel, acids. Black oil is re-refined: filtered, dehydrated, controlled viscosity.
Can I use it as shuttering oil?
Only on timber/plywood formwork. Never on Mivan aluminium — stains concrete, corrodes panels.
Change interval for crusher gearbox?
Every 2–3 months or when visually contaminated. More frequently during monsoon.
Can it replace gear oil in truck differentials?
Not recommended. Lacks EP additives that protect hypoid gears under load.
